Hi!

I currently specialize in orthopedics,  trigger point, and manual therapies using  standard orthopedic testing along with a  Chinese Medicine approach to recovery. Mixed  within everything I do is a trained eye to  traditional Chinese medicine pathology  patterns, a recognition that both acute and  chronic issues can be tied to more than what  you come in for, and the ability to merge a  systemic and focal approach to your recovery.  Then again, sometimes a sprain is just a sprain,  so I got you covered.

In addition to the treatment of pain, injuries,  and internal issues, Chinese Medicine provides  a safe alternative to facial rejuvenation through  acupuncture and microneedling. See services  for more information.

• Superbills can be provided for those with out-of-network insurance coverage.

• Package rates are available with no coverage.

• FSA and HSA cards accepted.

• Medicare: Medicare unfortunately does not cover acupuncture when performed by a licensed acupuncturist. This is a problem we are well aware of, and hope this changes one day. Meanwhile,  some supplemental plans *may* reimburse when performed by a licensed acupuncturist. Please call your supplemental plan to see if this is the case.

For those experiencing financial hardship, please contact me directly to discuss a plan for you.

INSURANCE & FEES

I am in-network with Cigna PPO and will be able to process these claims for you. Please let me know ahead of your visit so I can check on your Cigno PPO benefits. Ultimately it is the patient’s responsibility to understand what to expect when it comes to your deductible, co-pay, number of visits, and limitations.

Once you have exceeded your visit limits, continued visit payments will revert to Cash/Time of Service Rates listed below. A credit card will be kept on file for all Cigna PPO patients.

Acupuncture Cash Rates

New Patient Visit: $250
Continuing Patient Visit: $140
Cosmetic Acupuncture Fees: coming soon

(Please understand that cosmetic acupuncture is NOT covered by insurance, and this treatment is not meant to be combined with treating other health issues otherwise covered by a regular acupuncture treatment.)

the office

I am a COVID cautious practitioner and will remain so until further notice. Masks are required at the office for both patient and practitioner in all shared spaces. Each space has it’s own air purifier, ventilation, and disinfection protocols. I try to keep Co2 levels to a minimum.

If you are suffering Long COVID symptoms, talk to me. I am invested in trying to claw you out of your condition.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Because I like to spend quality time with each patient, I am not a high volume clinic. I want to hear what you have to say and give you the focus and treatment that you need. Each visit is tailored to you and modified as your symptoms change and progress. While some may benefit from a needle and rest visit, more often, my treatments may be more active as we work to release and treat different parts of the body. That said, most patients are able to squeeze in a little snooze as they relax on the table. I like results, and we will always be checking in with each other on each visit together.

OUR LOCATION

SPASM Acupuncture is located in The City of Good Living. If that refers to food, you will find no shortage of that around the clinic. From the new Boba Tea shop across the street, Noelani’s Island Grill, or the popular Refuge with it’s Belgian beers, there is no shortage of good eats within walking distance! The clinic itself is nestled amongst a great mix of medical practitioners that my patients take full advantage of. From physical therapists, podiatrists, chiro’s, trainers, and massage therapists, it’s almost a one stop location. My favorite Thai massage therapist is across the way. Ask me about him!

REGULATIONS

  • I am still a COVID cautious office. If that is what you are looking for, you found it. Masks are still required, so please remember to bring your own. If not, one will be provided. I am in an N95 at all times, air purifiers and the HVAC are on, windows are often open, and CO2 is kept to a minimum.

  • As a solo practitioner, every aspect of your office visit is handled by me, from scheduling, intake, treatment, payment, and follow-up. I make a concerted effort to be on time for you, and provide the treatment that you deserve.

In consideration of this tiny biz, please notify me 24 hours or more in advance of your visit if you need to reschedule or cancel your visit. To make it easy, your confirmation email contains a link where you are able to manage your appointment online before that 24 hour window.

Last minute cancellations are charged a missed appointment fee of $70. Repeat offenders will be asked to call day-of to request an appointment.
Please understand that if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will need to reschedule and will be charged a missed visit fee. I appreciate your understanding.
