Hi, I’m Miki!

I’m 4’ 9 3/4” and basketball was my first love. Point guard, of course. I am a child of the 80’s, and a club kid of the early 90’s. I developed chronic pain starting at 18 yo which led me to acupuncture and Chinese Medicine a crazy 12 years later. After recovering, I never looked back. My dream since then has been to show people the possibilities of this medicine.

Meanwhile, as a long distance trail runner, I continue to be my own acupuncture experiment, healing and preventing injuries one needle, plaster, and herbal formula at a time.

Bob B.

“I always feel better after a session. Typically, there is improvement in whatever symptoms I am experiencing. Miki does a good job of tailoring the treatment to the specific issue I am experiencing instead of providing a “cookie cutter” treatment.”

Darlyne C.

“I worked as a nurse for 18 years. The most satisfying thing about working with Miki was results. I got through a very difficult time with her help. Also, I found out acupuncture isn't that scary after all, and feeling better is always good.”

Stephen S.

“Working with Miki has done wonders for my training.  There are two aspects of treatment: maintenance and repair.  I would advise regular maintenance treatments so that you don’t have to go see her for repair.”

A little of the story

SPASM Acupuncture is an acronym of the little acupuncture biz that I started over 13 years ago in the South Bay. “SouthBay Pain & Sports Medicine Acupuncture” to be exact. I thought the acronym was hilarious at the time. Today, I’m located a bit north of that south, but I stuck with the name. I still think it’s kinda funny.
